Aishiteru, One OK Rock!

Published October 11, 2012 by dapithapon

I’ve just learned about this awesome Japanese rock band a few weeks ago and since then, I have never stopped listening to their songs. I was simply blown away by One OK Rock’s music. Their songs never fail to send shivers down my spine and make me want to head-bang until all the nerves in my neck burst into pieces. In fact, I could listen to their songs all day and will never get tired of it. Aside from that, their songs are the only ones I could listen to while writing my work-related articles.  I don’t know what they did to me but, dang! I love One OK Rock! I think they are one of the best bands I know in this generation. They’re not auto-tuned! Thank God! \m/

I also love the fact that all the members of this band are passionate about creating well-thought of music. For as long as they could, they prefer to write their own songs. All their members— Taka (main vocalist), Toru (lead guitarist), Ryota (bassist) and Tomoya (drummer) — are so talented! I love them all! 😀

I especially love Taka’s vocal prowess. I don’t care if he came from a boy band. Rock suits him better. 😀  He is simply amazing and I read in one article that he’s really serious about his craft and sings with so much intensity that will make listeners melt or do some head-banging or subconsciously hum their songs even if the lyrics are in Japanese.

Meanwhile, I am also amazed to know that Toru could rap like a pro. It feels strange at first to hear a rap song from a Japanese but, man! Toru nailed it! Oh wait. My friend told me that Toru’s a rapper before he became rocker dude. I see. That’s why he’s so good! Wow! Furthermore, I really find Ryota and Tomoya cute and electrifying! The fusion of Taka’s vocals, Toru’s lead guitar, Ryota’s bass and Tomoya’s drums awaken all my senses. Blast it! I’m hooked!

I hope they’ll visit the Philippines in the near future so that I could watch them live. Oh my, I’m a certified fan! I’m not ashamed of it! Ha-ha-ha! 😀

Here’s one of their songs that I listen to over and over again. The title is The Beginning [※映画『るろうに剣心』主題歌] which is the soundtrack of Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X)-Live Action.

Enjoy!
