Morning Rush

Morning Rush

On the way to the train station,

I saw a deranged man singing off key,

unmindful of the throngs of people around him.

He continued singing his own composition

as if he’s auditioning for a singing contest.

I was drawn to his energetic rendition

of repetitive lyrics about his life on the street.

For a while, I contemplated on whether to call his attention

or just observe him from a distance.

Then suddenly, the train arrived and I entered.

As soon as the door closed, his image slowly faded away.

But his incomprehensible tune lingered on my mind.
